For the last 10 years I have had another dream, and this one has been to write a novel!

Even I didn’t really believe I could make this happen, and then I met a really special person, Julia Dean-Richards. Julia is a Director with Arty Party and she is an author and a publisher. Julia is working with me every week and we are collaborating on a novel.

The story centres around the main character, Moonflower, and explores her family life, its members and their stories building up to revealing how Moonflower came by her magic powers. It is a book of light and shade.

Moonflower was a character I played as an actor so having her in my book is a wonderful way of bringing my old life together with my new life.

Writing is hard work and the novel is coming along slowly but surely. Watch this space and I will keep you posted on our progress!!!

On a Tuesday I am part of a creative writing group called the Tall Tale Tellers and we tell stories and talk about things which interest us and are meaningful to us. We have produced a number of short stories and about 20 poems so far. We hope to publish them at some point. We are also starting to use the poems as a basis for performance and hope to entertain audiences with our work in the future!!
