Music, Art, Crafting, Creative Writing, Physical Theatre and Dancing Dancing Dancing.
My life is a whirl of activity.
I am an active member of Arty Party and a member of three Dance Companies, Identity, Contact Dance and Curtain Call Musical Theatre.
I also work as a class assistant for Opal at Identity, working with young dancers, supporting and helping where I can. One day I would love to be a teacher (another dream to reach for).
As part of identity we have entered a number of dance competitions, competing in groups, duets and as a solo in both Street Dance and Contemporary. I have won many trophies and medals and will soon need a cupboard to put them all in! In May we have qualified for the Audacity Dance Championships and we have our fingers crossed for some great results. We are also appearing in Shrewsbury’s Got Talent at Theatre Severn in March! It is wonderful to be able to perform again.
Alongside of all this I have made wonderful friendships, I have met and now work alongside some amazing people, we work as a team and support each other to be the very best we can be.
I celebrated my 40th birthday two years ago and we had a ball!! I had a fabulous Hollywood themed party and I went as my favourite actress, Audrey Hepburn. It was a great opportunity to bring all the people I love together to celebrate and dance the night away. We made precious memories which kept me going as we then slid into the pandemic and lockdown!
I really miss my dear friends from Kaleidoscope, Lucie, Saletta and Mark, we lived and worked together for over 20 years. We stay in touch by zoom and plan times for us all to meet up. When we are together it is like we have never been apart. They are all building new and fulfilling lives too and it is wonderful to share our stories and hear each others news. No matter what I am doing now or in the future those guys will always hold a very special place in my heart – forever.
Life is good, but I am always open to more challenges, more opportunities and more fun!
